Bob Noble Park is celebrating its 100th anniversary in 2026. The Noble Park 100 initiative focuses on recognizing the park’s history, celebrating the memories created there, and inspiring continued improvements and care for the future.
To commemorate the milestone, the city - along with volunteer support - plans to plant 100 trees in 2026. This effort will increase species diversity while complementing the park’s mature tree canopy. Paducah Parks and Recreation is seeking sponsors to help fund the effort.
“This campaign is more than a beautification project—it’s an investment in the future of Paducah,” said Director of Paducah Parks and Recreation Amie Clark. “By increasing tree diversity, introducing younger trees and expanding shaded areas, this effort will improve environmental health, elevate visitor experience, and preserve the park’s legacy as a cherished community space.”
Sponsorships are available for individuals, businesses and organizations at the following levels: $200 for one tree, $600 for three trees, $1,000 for five trees and $2,000 for 10 trees.
Assistant Director of Recreation Taylor Morsching is coordinating the initiative.
“The tree planting effort is a meaningful way for the community to be part of this historic milestone,” said Morsching. “Each tree planted will serve as a lasting tribute to the park’s legacy while helping ensure its beauty and sustainability for generations to come.
Sponsorships will be accepted on a first-come, first-served basis. Tree species and placement will be determined by the department, with planting scheduled for spring and fall 2026. Recognition signage will be standardized for all sponsors, and tax receipts will be available upon request.
To become a sponsor and pay by cash or check, contact Morsching by email or at 270-444-1331. Credit Card sponsorships are available online.
In addition to the tree planting initiative, the Parks and Recreation will host a four-day celebration, July 30 through Aug. 2, featuring concerts, movies in the park, children’s activities, a history walk, a pop-up farmers market, and discounted admission to Noble Park Pool. A commemorative gift shop also is planned.
Bob Noble Park was established in 1926 after Robert H. Noble donated $10,000 for its creation. Over the years, the park has expanded to include amenities such as Noble Park Pool, playgrounds, sports courts, an amphitheatre, a skatepark, dog parks, and the Greenway Trail.
